In order for Nomads Sydney to run smoothly there is a set committee structure in place that essentially controls how games are organised, scoring, prizes, venue co-ordination, Nationals organisation, Charity day etc
Any member of Nomads can volunteer their time to help out on the committee who meets on the second Monday of every month. The members who dedicate their time are a rare breed and we thank and salute them for their contribution.
It is up to every Nomads member to put themselves up for committee at some stage in their Nomads Careers. Without the committee their simply would not be a club.
The Positions on the Committee are:
Captain: Responsible for running the Club and the Committee.
Vice Captain: Responsible for organising and running the Charity Day.
Junior Vice Captain: Responsible for organising the Knockout Tournament.
Treasurer: Responsible for ensuring Club Accounts are accurate and up to date.
Secretary: Responsible for Committee Minutes and Constitutional updates.
Venue Co-ordinator: Responsible for ensuring venues are booked and paid for.
Pro: Responsible for finding and signing Sponsors and organising prizes for each month as well as the Annual Prizegiving.
Handicapper and Game Scheduler Responsible for ensuring handicaps are accurate and submitted to the AGU after each month as well as members handicaps being kept up to date. Also responsible for ensuring the Monthly draw and member adherence to the draw.
Membership Officer: Responsible for handling new memberships and for existing members' records being kept up to date.
Web Master: Responsible for upkeep of the website, publishing articles, draws, monthly registration, database, multimedia content inc photos and videos, search engine optimisation etc.
Newsletter Editor: Responsible for editing the Scorecard Newsletter.
Past Captain: Provide guidance and wisdom to captain on running of club
